BEING GAY, YOU MUST ALWAYS
BE ON YOUR GUARD…BEING GAY, YOU LEARN TO BE PRESENT AND INVISIBLE @ THE SAME
TIME, NEARBY WHEN THEY NEED YOU, FAR OFF WHEN THEY DIDN’T, BUT STILL CLOSE
ENOUGH IN CASE THEY CHANGED THEIR MINDS…BEING GAY, YOU WERE ALWAYS RUSHING TO
OR AWAY FROM THEM…BEING GAY, YOU ARE IMMEDIATELY INSPECTED WHEN YOU ENTER A
ROOM, AS [THEY ARE] ALWAYS HOPING TO CATCH YOU WITH SOME MISSING TREASURE IN
YOUR HAND.
You can say that again. *sigh* A few weeks ago I actually stammered and panicked when a Lieutenant asked, "are you married?"
ReplyDeleteUgh.....
CUP: WE GO THROUGH SO MUCH ON SO MANY LEVELS BECAUSE WE ARE GAY.

ReplyDeleteWell, I am so glad you did. There are times when we feel something buy cannot articulate it. I think your thought here says what so many of us feel.
ReplyDeleteTHOMAS: SO GLAD THE WORDS HERE RESONATES!
ReplyDeleteBeing Gay doesn't necessarily mean being happy and we tend to avoid any uncomfortable situations in reference to being gay. The seen and unseen.
ReplyDeleteCHET: WE SO DO. TOOK ME A WHILE TO GET THAT PART OF OUR SEXUALITY.
