I dare say that bullying has always been around. Has been accepted. Perhaps the lack of acceptance of bulling now is a sign humanity is moving in the right direction.
Yeah. I cringe when people use trite phrases to discourage teen suicide too. All you are telling teens by saying shit like "suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem" or talk about how selfish suicide is, is reinforcing the idea that nobody does understand what they are going through. Worse than the loss of a life is the thought of how hopeless and alone you have to feel to take your own life. Heartbreaking.
