Not-so-subtle
rapper Lil’ B named his 2011 album I’m
Gay (subtitled I’m Happy) in part to raise
awareness about homophobia (even though he’s straight).
Now he’s named a recent single “I Got AIDS,” but what it lacks in subtlety and lyrical depth, it makes up for in chill beats and an upfront message about using condoms and getting tested.
Good for him! Both initiatives took courage and boldness. We all know he had to fight to sell that to the recording executives!
ReplyDeleteROGER: YEAH, I AM GLAD HE SAW PASS THE MONETARY VALUE OF PUTTING THIS RECORD OUT THERE.
ReplyDeleteQuite the message he is conveying.
ReplyDeleteCHET: LOVE WHAT HE IS DOING HERE!
