IF BEING A SINNER IS A PREREQUISITE FOR BEING A ‘CHRISTIAN’,
WHY IS THAT THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH IS EXCLUSIVELY THE ONLY GROUP OR PEOPLE THAT
REQUIRES A PUBLIC ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF SIN(S)?
Faith is what we believe but cannot prove. Christianity, basic Christianity, contains tenets that we all can ascribe to: hope, love, brotherhood and compassion. However, modern Christianity has fallen victim to charletans, bigots, false prophets, hypocrites and self-serving individuals who seek only power and profit. These are the ones who have so corrupted the true messages that they are no longer apparent to us.
Bigotry and intolerance (whether it comes from Christians, Jews, Muslims or atheists) all comes from the same place, a desperate desire to be superior to others. If you've ever read joemygod, you know that the commenters there are just as hypocritical, intolerant of those who don't agree with them and as filled with a sense of superiority as any mainstream religion. Why oh why should I listen to someone who is also delusional in their understanding of God. God ask us to to love our fellow man and have faith in him. Today some of us have turned our backs on God and we treat each other with little or no respect at all! I do believe and have faith in a God because without him I'm nothing.
