So I mentioned to a few friends of mine that I still have my ADAM4ADAM & BGC accounts and they feel that since I am in monogamous relationship that I should have deleted those accounts a long time ago. Noel and I met via BGC so I don't think there is anything wrong with my keeping myself there or on A4A...After all Noel trusts me and he knows where we stand...So how about you, do you think my keeping myself on these sites can and will lead to problems or do you feel that they are harmless and they are NO big deal?
Its no big deal...the person should trust you. Its the same as walking down a street-people will still look and check you out. Are you going to lock yourself away.
ReplyDeleteThe answer is up to the couple...whatever they both can handle. Whether it's shutting down all of those accounts, or using the accounts to find playmates.
ReplyDeleteEach couple needs to determine what works for the two of them....with honesty and communication.
The sites pose no problem to you or your relationship, beesides there is trust between you and Noel. The sites are basically a form of entertainment, we rarily take it it seriously enven whhen searching for hook-ups.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Noel trust you and you trust him then there is no immediate need to delete your profiles on thos e sites.
No big deal, my bf and I still use gay.com, the platform where we met, as "basically a form of entertainment" as Chet says.
ReplyDeleteEntertainment? What KIND of entertainment? I don't buy it! But I don't have to! I don't have a profile on any of the sites, and I'm not going to get one, but if I did, I wouldn't delude myself as to WHY I created one!
ReplyDeleteYOU are the one who said there is trust between yourself and Noel + the fact that you BOTH know where you stand! And now that you stand TOGETHER what's the point of keeping the profiles?
Delete them! What if you get hit up or hit on by someone whose "entertainment factor" is just so overwhelming that you can't get it out of your mind? Yes, you're in a monogamous relationship, and it's just "entertainment" to start talking to that person and it's so innocent and BLAH! You're still a MAN! And so is HE! Temptation is very real and is no respecter of monogamous relationships!
No big deal...Just as long as there is trust and all the other virtues in your relationship.
