ReplyDeleteI think it should be all of them also, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be homophobia because I believe in the long run, it might knock out a few of the others.
ReplyDeleteI would say loneliness and isolation, it ties in the points raised. Because of homophobia, fixation with the physical, dependency on sex and not know who we are, individuals can feel left out isolated and lonely. It is the result of ALL of them.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say it would have to be the loneliness. I'm ot really bother by the other stuff but the loneliness is a killer because its hard to find the right person especially if your not out in the gay scene

ReplyDeleteThe world doesn't understand us and we rarely understand and relate well with ourselves [segregation within the community] that's what hurts us the most I think. If we can get past this then I think everything else would be easier to overcome.
If I had to pick one I would say THE LONELINESS & ISOLATION.

ReplyDeleteTwo common themes I come across so often would have to be 'Fixation with body and looks' and 'Using sex as a device to feel love'.
'Homophobia & ignorance' and 'Not knowing who we are' would have to be baggage brought on by the larger society.

ReplyDeleteWhere do i begin... Hmmmm.... All of the above but the two that i think resonate with me more are using sex as a device to feel love and the loneliness and isolation. There are so many people I talk to who are very depressed because they are lonely and feel isolated,which is so incredibly heartbreaking.I think we are as a community need to be more supportive of each other and be there for each other. Be your brother's keeper!!!!!!!
