This is a loaded question! Well, regardless of my ethnic background I feel I'm classier than the average person. I learned from the Diana Ross school of charm.
You should know by now that not all people act or think alike regardless of race. How then can you ascribe whatever your definition of "civilized" is to one race and then compare it to another?
i have to say black folks are more civilized and just all around better.. when you add up all the injustices and terrible things done by man kind, white folks are guilty of more.
p.s. if it matters, i'm white..but i have to thank my ex for teaching me to be a better person. he's black..
There's civilised and polite within all the human races. No single race holds a monopoly on that virtue. Unfortunately, there's also rude and ugly in all the races. People are people, no matter their shape, creed, color, age nor community of faith.
What a pointlessly divisive and unnecessarily ugly question.
And of course there is one race whose more civilized than the others but how on earth any one person is supposed to proclaim knowing this is beyond me.
Never mind that the very word "civilized" is the last thing I'd want when being described.

civility or lack there of knows no race. wouldn't it be nice if our lack of respect and manners for dealing with others was as easy to spot as race?

I would say that there is no way to measure this by race, but by character.
