I remember where I was on that day and it stays paramount in my mind. Many things have changed in my life or way of thinking since that day, I tend to be far more careful and watchful of people, places and things.
I have far more compassionate for my fella man. Take nothing for granted.
i remember where i was on that day and what i was doing. i already had context for what we were told happened and for what the media did with that information. i understood that a storm was coming. i set about trying to build a safe intentional community. that attempt failed after a few years. i definitely became more radical, much more politically radical and started to make connections with people across all kinds of differences. i realized that this was the time for making links with people who might have different perspectives, different kinds of knowledge, different skills than i had for survival's sake. i'm still pretty much there, reaching out to all matter of people in the hopes of having enough connections to offer me some sort of web of affinity and protection in the rough times to come. i don't think i would have realized how dangerous and bleak times to come were going to be if i had not lived through that day.
hope and promise turn into hate and distrust, simply due to ethnicity and religion
