I believe...that taking action on our desire to improve or expand our life circumstances will attract more opportunities to grow and evolve on emotional, spiritual, and professional levels. But as late, I’ve been wondering if there is such a thing as TOO MUCH AMBITION? When does a person settle? Moreover, does he settle if he NO where near his goals?
I guess it's alright as long as you don't spill the milk like in the tale and you take one step at a time and be patient when you have to be.
ReplyDeleteNow let me try to follow my own advice...
If your happiness and/or health are compromised by your obsessive ambition, you've gone too far in your desire to reach tour goals.
ReplyDeleteNo there is no such thing as too much ambition. We need more people to have exceeding ambitions, then the world will be a better place.
ReplyDeleteAs I was so fond of explaining to an ex bf of mine I think you have to know BEFORE you start an endevour what will, for YOU, constitute a finite and specific moment of success and conversely what will define the moment you have failed.
ReplyDeleteI think without knowing this before hand you are dooming yourself not only to settling for but perhaps success without being aware of it.
Your last question nags me now and again. But I have come to the conclusion that people are not the same and so our FATE will not be the same.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you might feel that you want something so you struggle and struggle trying to get it but you never achieve that which you're chasing. I figured that maybe the life that you want and think is yours is really not meant for you.
I mean why else would you do your best and yet find that your best just isn't good enough? I think that at some point you either have to let go; look elsewhere and be happy with where you are.
I don't know what the answer is.
Why do you feel the need to approve comments?
ReplyDeleteI don't belive there is such a thing as too much ambition, but I think a person needs to be careful of the means to achieving a goal...
ReplyDeleteit would be wrong to run over too many feeling to get there.

Ambition is a good thing as long as you are not compromising yourself or others to obtain your goal. That is really cheating and stealing and therefore the ambition would be artificial and empty.
ReplyDeleteKYLE - YOU ARE SO RIGHT...
