In some ways, the earth is like a well-meaning mom, providing healthy and important stuff like air, water, and living things. And in return we are often not as grateful as we could be. But Earth Day is our chance to show our appreciation for the planet, so how about we NOT only acknowledge OUR mother (EARTH) on this day & CELEBRATE EARTH DAY EVERYDAY?
Once we become familiar with something, somewhere along the line we forget its importance and take it for granted. And that goes for mother earth too. It's something we need to remember always, that if we take care of our planet, it will also be able to take care of us.

ReplyDeleteSanya: They (including the US) are working on the successor of the Kyoto protocol which expires in 2012. Last I heard this new agreement is supposed to be ratified in December 2009. So yes, the US will be a part of it.
