STEP BY STEP is a song written and recorded by singer Annie Lennox. The song first appeared just as the B-side to her 1992 single "Precious", from her debut solo album Diva. The song was later recorded and pushed as a single by R&B/Pop singer Whitney Houston and became a hit as the second single from her 1996 soundtrack album, The Preacher's Wife. Annie Lennox provided background vocals for Houston's version, and Houston's single reached #15 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart in the US. Houston's single showed very strong chart performance across the globe, reaching at least the Top 20 in more than 45 countries. I chose this particular song as the first video for the year because of its message and theme. We have a LONG road ahead of us and sometimes the way shut making it impossible to pass. But I believe that as long as we take life STEP BY STEP, DAY BY DAY, we’ll get to our destinations…
I didn't know that...good point

ReplyDeleteYou know I never liked this track, but with a bit of distance between it and me now, it doesn't seem that bad.
ReplyDeleteI never knew Annie Lennox first sang this. Whitney definitely made this song her own and it has become such an inspirational song and made it an anthem.Through life's journey it is important to take challenges and things that come our way step by step, day by day.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say Whitney Houston ROCKED the Preacher's Wife soundtrack. She needs to come back!
