OLDIE, BUT GOODIE: ¿Y THE DOUBLE STANDARD?

FIRST OFF I THINK I SHOULD HAVE TITLED THIS ENTRY: ¿Y THE DOUBLE STANDARD, REALLY? ISAY THAT BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW WHY HETERO-MEN GET ALL HOT UNDER THE COLLAR WITHABOUT GAY MEN & HOT IN THE PANTS FOR LESBIANS. NONETHELESS, THIS ENTRY WASSOMETHING THAT I NEEDED TO GET OUT OF ME; I WANTED TO SEE WHAT OTHERS THOUGHTOF THIS SUBJECT. HAS THINGS CHANGED? WHAT DO YOU THINK?

There are lots of ways men AND women differentiate from each other; men have penises AND women have vaginas. Some women have sex with each and some men LOVE the thought of being a part of that. Though I TOTALLY get this concept, it baffles me that the oppression AND persecution of HOMOSEXUALS continues; yet LESBIANS are seen as the ones that are ACCEPTED and GAY men are not. SO CAN ANYONE TELL Y THE DOUBLE STANDARD? DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE ‘SIN’ OF HOMOSEXUALITY IS MERELY A QUESTION OF TASTE? And this question embarrasses people NOT because they can’t imagine two WOMEN together SEXUALLY; but because they (HETEROSEXUAL MEN IN PARTICULAR) can and do. 

Though the REVULSION HETERO-MEN feel @ the thought of GAY men having sex is a NO NO, I feel that this DISTASTE equates itself with morality. Hence I find this to be IGNORANT since LESBIANISM is in the category of HOMOSEXUALITY. The HETERO-MAN has a child like vision of SEXUALITY; in which the things he wants to do are natural, and the things he doesn’t want to do are matters of morality. It is rather a sad state of affairs when HETERO-MEN have HETEROSEXUALIZED lesbians in order to feel okay with themselves when they think about HOMOSEXUALITY. 

Therefore, they do NOT demonstrate a CLEAR understanding of the REAL lives of GAY men AND women that they objectified AND demonized. This ASSUMPTION of UNIVERSAL heterosexual orientation is going to further destroy our society. I guess I can try to understand why the HETERO-MAN would want to get with two WOMEN that have NO interest in him SEXUALLY; ISN'T IT A MAN’S RIGHT TO CRUSH EVERY PIECE OF PUSSY HE COMES ACROSS? Nonetheless, his OBJECTION to the GAY MAN is like someone protesting freedom OVER enslavement. Justified OR mistaken, such opposition is bad human nature, or is it?

AS SHAKESPEARE SAYS, SOME ARE BORN GAY, SOME ACHIEVE GAYNESS & SOME THRUST THEMSELVES UPON GAYNESS (WELL SORT OF). THE HOMOSEXUAL PERSONALITY MANIFESTS ITSELF IN ITS INDEPENDENT SPIRIT, IN THE WILLINGNESS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITSELF, TO THINK FOR ITSELF & NOT BECOME SOME CLICHÉ OF ABNORMALITY. THEREFORE, THE DISSOLUTION OF LESBIANS FROM GAY MEN DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE, IN FACT IT ONLY SERVES AS A DISTRACTION FROM OUR ACCEPTANCE & TAKING LESBIANISM OUT OF THE SEXUAL EQUATION DOES WHAT FOR EVERYONE ELSE’S ORIENTATION?
