"WHAT ABOUT YOUR FRIENDS?" is TLC's third single from their debut album, Ooooooohhh.... On the TLC Tip. The single was released in the fall of 1992. "What about Your Friends?" received massive airplay worldwide and became a hit on both R&B and dance charts. "What about Your Friends?" was written by Dallas Austin and TLC-member Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes. Dallas Austin also produced the single. The song is an uptempo ballad and is about friends that will betray others and knowing who your real friends are. This song was important to then and it is now. Being who I am, this song helped me answer that question…
