ReplyDeleteWhen an oppressed people show a willingness to defend themselves, the oppressor reacts by increasing reactionary and repressive strategies and tactics as they see their world, the staus quo, threatened and under attack. What they don't admit is that they know, as do we all, that their days of dominance are doomed. Change may not be immediate. Indeed, it may come slowly. But it happens. The longer that it takes for change to occur, the less likely that compromise favors the oppressor.
