¿WHAT IGNITES YOUR PASSION?

Taking the time to consider what it is about your passion that keeps you engaged, what allows you to become more conscious of the TRUE nature of your delight? I read somewhere that knowing what drives us gives us insight into what feeds our spirits and helps us learn how to maintain ourselves. So by recognizing what drives you today, I feel that you would throw yourself into it with more awareness as it inspires AND cultivate a GREATER zeal for living fully…SO CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IGNITES YOUR PASSION?

  2. My answer is really boring, but I guess I no longer care for much in this world, and that's the honet truth.

What drives me and nourishes my spirit above anything else on earth, is knowing that when I leave whatever church ground I was at on whatever Sunday, that I have done exactly what was required of me on that day. If not, I will be miserable and nothing will appease my spirit. It's the way it is, can't do anything about that.

  8. Lets see. What ignites my passion? I have more than one passion but I will stick to the passion of finding black gay intellectual, educated men who can engage in dialogue and are working to help others. So yeah Gayte you are apart of my passion by sharing this blog as when I get my novels published I'll be thinking about you and lolDarian, my Professor, and many others.

Growing up around a religious family and not being able to identify with anyone about my sexuality or higher education and I had to LOOK OUTWARD. I'm grateful for all those I come into contact with who share the same ideals and values. It makes the world go round.

  9. Remembering myself in daily decisions, I believe that God gives me sight of what will be put before me. I dream it, I then achieve it. This is my drive. My signals from God.

    Peace

  15. Odd you posted this last Monday, because the very next day, I went out and worked in my passion something fierce. And I came home so fulfilled that I sat down at the computer and worked it some more - all the way into the AM hours of the next day. I love Genealogy. I love helping US trace our family lines and putting our forebearers into historical context so that we UNDERSTAND who and what we come from. This work doesn't turn everyone on but it excites the hell outta me - and trust me, sometimes I NEED THE HELL OUTTA ME! I love this so much I do it for FREE at the Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati for five hours every Tuesday. I've even thought of going back in and volunteering more hours. And do I think this can morph into a paid gig? Hell yeah! After reading My Steps Are Ordered, even more so. THAT was confirmation! Congratulations Brotha, on some mighty fine posts, indeed and God bless you in your spiritual growth. You are an example!
