The way that you think of things in such a deep manner is something that i have truly come to admire about u. I felt just as you did in the beginning. I wasnt exactly following all the political mess. I figured that either Clinton or Obama were going to make history. Hillary would have been the first woman to be president. Obama being the first african-american. I feel that things have working out in the way that they should have. I just hope that our new president exceeds our expectations and hopes and does his best to make this Country Greater than it ever has been. FOR EVERYONE.Tru3logichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16640365670594580447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27292086.post-74085292494324785352008-11-04T01:25:00.000-05:002008-11-04T01:25:00.000-05:00Ok so I haven't really been following all the poli...Ok so I haven't really been following all the political hoopla over the past year but i've always did my part and went out and voted. I've caught tid bits of information here and there and i knew Obama was gonna be the person i voted for but honestly politics was never my thing and i'm not gonna pretend they are. With that said today has been an interesting day for me because as i was sitting at work a feeling of excitement came over me. All of a sudden it hit me that when i go to bed later tonight we might actually have an african american president. Can you freakin believe it? That feelin turned my mundane day at work into an beautifuly night at work. The thought that for once in my life time I might get the chance to see somebody that looks like me in the history books as the president of the united states of america. Get excited people!!! Get really excited!!!slimm215https://www.blogger.com/profile/03033242762343063978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27292086.post-79941823130888989272008-11-04T00:03:00.000-05:002008-11-04T00:03:00.000-05:00Well all I know is tomorrow the right guy better w...Well all I know is tomorrow the right guy better win this election. I believe that Barack Obama will do an excellent job as our new president! :)deonte' khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04972350070564040205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27292086.post-11541444600927394812008-11-03T21:51:00.000-05:002008-11-03T21:51:00.000-05:00I was also a supporter of Hillary Clinton and I sh...I was also a supporter of Hillary Clinton and I share your sentiments. I am insulted to think that because i am black that i am suppose to support the Black Candidate. This suggests that somehow Black people are void of independent thinking and nothing could be further from the truth. The media's love affair with Obama resulted in Hillary being vilified by the media and was even accused of injecting racism into the campaign.
Having said all that,Obama became the nominee and had my full support despite not being my first choice.America is at a crossroad and needs a leader who will transcend partisan boundaries and who will inspire the nation.I have come to realise that Obama is indeed that leader. It is my hope and pray that AMERICA will do the right thing and elect OBAMA as the next President of the US.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27292086.post-84662491065689301912008-11-03T21:18:00.000-05:002008-11-03T21:18:00.000-05:00I love how you actually sat and thought long and h...I love how you actually sat and thought long and hard about your decisions when it comes down to politics. A lot of African Americans believe that just because you are black that you are respectable enough to lead the nation and represent those who are not adequately represented. This is a nation in whose leaders were all from the racial and ethnic MAJORITY, but now we are in the midst of a change that will be to the BENEFIT of our nation. I love everything that is happening right now for us (except the economic and energy crises), but I have so much faith in Obama. He is a man that really and truly deserves the opportunity to make a beneficial difference in all of our lives.

And I love the picture too! It makes him look very human.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27292086.post-88804812390836196162008-11-03T19:25:00.000-05:002008-11-03T19:25:00.000-05:00Yeah I have to agree, I would have loves Hillary a...Yeah I have to agree, I would have loves Hillary as president. However after being a bit more open to Obama I think he might be just as good, if not better.

And he's definitely a hell of a lot better than the mess we have now.

ps. But to break the hold that the far-right, intolerant, hate-filled Republican conservatives have had on this country since 1980, I beleive that only Barack can succeed. Now go vote. And be happy!Scott747https://www.blogger.com/profile/16423609485323161808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27292086.post-69793025593516174072008-11-03T02:38:00.000-05:002008-11-03T02:38:00.000-05:00WOW Mr Gayte-keeper. Never in a million years would I guess that you would think in that way, even though you saw things differently in the end.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
