GAY MEN ARE LIKE APPLES...

Gay men are like apples on trees.
The best ones are @ the top of the tree.
The boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling & getting hurt.
Instead, they get the rotten apples from the ground that isn’t good, but easy.
So the apples up top think something is wrong with them when in reality they’re AMAZING!
They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree…

¿CAN FACEBOOK BOOST SELF-ESTEEM?

If you’re feeling a little blue, don’t look into a mirror. Take a gander instead at your Facebook page, which may boost your self-esteem. That’s the conclusion of a new study by Cornell University researchers involving the wildly popular online social networking site. The reasons for this positive effect seem clear, the researchers say.

¡RICKY MARTIN WILL DRAG US TO HELL!

Antigay Puerto Rican pastor Wanda Rolón urged people to avoid Ricky Martin concerts, warning that the singer would “drag us all to hell.”
Huffington Post reports on the protests last week, which judging by the attendance at Martin's concerts, appear to have been ineffective. Rolón promoted her opposition on Facebook and in a press conference.
“On Friday the 25th of March, a group of anti-homosexuality activists held a protest in front of the Choliseo, while avid Ricky Martin's fanatics arrived for the anticipated concert,” reports HuffPo. “Wanda Rolon's followers promised to be there for the remaining three days, condemning Ricky Martin's confessed sexual orientation and the nature of his concert. According to Wanda Rolón and this group, the whole island will join Satan in the afterlife, since four shows were completely sold out.”
Martin did not respond directly to Rolón, but during his concerts, he said, "Don't be afraid to live, Puerto Rico."

¿WHAT MAKES A HOT GUY?

We all know that when it comes to taste there is nothing written in stone. Everyone has their tastes in men and of course this is what makes the world go round. If everyone found the same type of guy hot, well then it would be pretty boring! Variety is the spice of life.

We have talked about the hottest part of a man but we have never really explored exactly what makes a man hot. Is it really his personality, his eyes, the way he speaks, how he smells, how his breath smells, how hairy his chest is? What could it be? Seriously the list could go on and on. After having our competition every Friday to find our hunk of spunk we can honestly say that there is a guy out there for EVERY ONE!
So what you think makes a guy hot?

¿WHY ARE STRAIGHT WOMEN LESS LIKELY TO FORGIVE HUBANDS WHO CHEAT WITH OTHER MEN ?

If you found out your partner is cheating on you, are you going to call the whole thing off? The chances of you doing so depend if a man or a woman. And if your partner screwed around in a straight or gay way. Straight guys are more likely to stick things out if their girlfriends get it on with a lady; but if it's a heterosexual affair, that's when they're ending things. But straight chicks are more likely to end things if they find out their man snuck away with another dude. That's all according to psychologists Jaime Confer of the University of Texas and Mark Cloud of Lock Haven University, in new research published in Personality and Individual Differences. Overall, men are more likely to find cheating inexcusable.

REVIEW OF LINCOLN LAWYER

                                              http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1627364121/

The Lincoln Lawyer is one of the best movies I've seen this year. It has all the right ingredients; a good story though not really original, a talented cast and a lot of plot twists- which is how movie making and story telling should be.

Matthew McConaughey delivers one of the best performances of his career as Mickey Haler- a slick Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of his black Lincoln Sedan. Mickey has spent most of his career defending some very unsavory characters and colorful characters. This all changes, when he lands the case of his career representing Louis Roulet portrayed by Ryan Phillipe. Roulet, a hollywood playboy is accused of rape and attempted murder. The case Mickey will soon learn is not as it seems and the audience is taken on quite the roller coaster of plot twists and turns and a deadly game of survival for Mickey.

What's Good About the Movie:

Excellent story

The story was well written, well developed and had the right mixture of intrigue, drama, suspense and plot twists. It's very rare that you get a story this well written and crafted.

The Cast

This talented group of actors all deliver superb performances. Matthew McConaughey delivers the performance of his career and I would be surprised if he doesn't secure a few noms for the next aware. Others worth mentioning include Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe and William H. Macy were all amazing and delivered very strong performances.

What's Bad about the Movie:

There isn't really much that one can criticize negatively about this movie. Despite the plot twists it was to some extent predictable and maybe would have had a greater impact if the end was a total surprise or something the audience would not have seen coming.

Overall Grade: A The performances of the talented cast really made this into a very engaging and entertaining ride and one I would definitely recommend.

RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE, SEASON 3: EPISODE 10 - RUPAUL'S HAIR BALL

Last night’s theme? Hair. “It just takes one bad blowout,” Ru warned the five remaining queens — Shangela, Raja, Manila Luzon, Alexis Mateo, and Yara Sofia. “You could be hair today, gone tomorrow.” The mini challenge required the gals to create a headpiece out of materials, as Ru put it, “swiped from the gay beach,” in just 20 minutes. The whole exercise didn’t yield anything too delicious, except for a hilarious one-liner from Ru responding to Raja’s crab-inspired headdress. “Now have you had crabs before?” she asked him. “Yah, I actually pulled these right out of my panties,” shot back Raja, who also took home the win during the challenge.

HIT IT ONCE, TWICE...

I met a guy a few weeks ago. I took him home and we had great sex. A few nights later we had even better, hotter sex.

UNDERSTANDING BIGOREXIA: WHEN FITNESS GOES TOO FAR

There are two kinds of bodybuilding contests out there. One is a sanctioned competition held in on stages with men in teeny tiny posing trunks. The other is wherever gay men who are into fitness gather. In both, the syndrome known as “bigorexia” (muscle dysmorphia) will sometimes surface. The condition is an inability to be satisfied with one’s own muscle size and is characterized by a no-holds-barred approach to getting as big as possible.

THE TOILET TREATMENT...

I love cruising public restrooms. I know some guys think it's old-fashioned or dangerous, that there’s the Internet for hookups so I don't need to do that. But I can’t help myself. I love the rebellious act of using a public space to get off in. I love the nervous energy of the other guys who are there cruising too. I love showing off at a urinal (I’m big), and I love the quick, dirty, action that follows.

THAT DON'T IMPRESS ME MUCH

"That Don't Impress Me Much" is a song by Canadian singer Shania Twain. It was the sixth country single released from her 1997 album Come on Over. It was third to pop and fourth to international markets. The song was written by Robert John "Mutt" Lange and Shania Twain, and was originally released to North American country radio stations in late 1998. It became her third biggest single on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains one of Twain's biggest hits worldwide. "That Don't Impress Me Much" was included in both the Come on Over and Up! Tours. The country version was performed on the Come on Over Tour and the dance version on the Up! Tour. "That Don't Impress Me Much" was named Foreign Hit of the Year at the 2000 Danish Grammy Awards.

EX-FACTOR

"Ex-Factor" is the second single from American recording artist Lauryn Hill from her debut solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998). It features a sample of "Can It Be All So Simple", a song by Wu-Tang Clan. The song also raised some controversy, claiming that it was about former bandmate Wyclef Jean of The Fugees.

"Ex-Factor" was written and produced by Lauryn Hill and it features replayed elements of "Can It Be All So Simple" performed by Wu-Tang Clan.

Although not as successful as her previous single "Doo Wop (That Thing)", the song still garnered widespread success, and acclaim. This song spent 22 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at 21 on the week of April 10, 1999. It also charted on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, spending 31 weeks and peaking number 7 on March 13, 1999.[3]It reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart.

¡HAVE A GAY OLE TIME WITH CAZWELL!

It has been a while since we last heard from Cazwell. He set the interent a blaze last year with his video for "Ice Cream Truck." That video was full of sexy semi-nude men! They were all sweaty and yummy! It truly was a delish extravagana for the eyes. Now he is back and better than ever! Cazwell  has just released his brand new video for his song " Get My Money Back."
The song might not be the best thing but the video is yet another sexy mix of men dancing around shirtless and of course eating bananas. It's funny, sexy and as usual a little crazy but that doesn't stop Cazwell from having a gay old time! Check out the video and tell us what ya think of it! Do you like it or do you loathe it?

¿DOES THE 'HOT' PIC GET YOU TO CLICK?

Does my use of sexy images that illustrate my entries get you to click?  In our hot abs, nice and big dick obsession, am I a bad blogger for perpetuating this stereotype? Selling sex is a fact of life and we all have to deal with it, but when you look at the social norms of the gay community juxtaposed against those of mainstream society, it makes me wonder if the gay community is superficial, fawning over the guy with a six-pack?

REST IN PEACE DAME ELIZABETH ROSEMOND TAYLOR

RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE, SEASON 3: EPISODE 9 - RUPAUL-A-PALOOZA

As a contestant on a reality competition show, there quite possibly might come a point where you survey your competitors, look at how far you still have to go, and just say: “Screw it. I’m not trying anymore.” As evidenced by last night’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, that very much seemed to be what happened with one-time favorite Carmen Carrera, who found it difficult to muster much of an effort with any of the challenges that were laid on in front of her. Let’s look at the tale of the tape that led to Carmen’s eventual dismissal.

REVIEW OF BATTLE: LOS ANGELES

The Aliens are coming! The Aliens are coming! Battle: LA is another take in the never ending saga and  genre of  alien invasion movies. This time it is that LA becomes the final battle ground for the fate and future of earth.

¿EX MARKS THE SPOT?

  • Sex with an ex can be some of the hottest action in the world, how could it not? You both know exactly how to get each other going, it is like you’re doing something you know is bad for you, and yet that’s exactly why it’s so thrilling. Either way, here are some things to keep in mind when navigating these all too familiar waters.

  • Don’t feel guilty about it.
    • Just because you broke up doesn’t mean everything about that relationship sucked. If the sex was good, embrace those memories.
    • Sex writers like Susie Bright point out that great sex starts in the head—your big head, that is— so if fantasies about your ex help with your J/O sessions then let your mind wander.
    • Fantasizing about an ex during sex is okay… with limits. Studies show that lots of people fantasize about someone other than the person they’re having sex with, but if it’s something you do all the time with your current boyfriend, then that might be a red flag that you’re having a problem in your relationship. One word of advice: “Don’t yell out his name when your orgasm,” says Ruben. “It can complicate things.”
And what if you’re actually hooking up with your ex?
    • Know yourself. If you’re still emotionally attached, don’t do it. It’ll just screw you up.
    • Know his state. It doesn’t matter how good the sex was, if he’s still in love/lust with you then don’t do it. A good lay is no excuse for screwing with someone’s emotions.
    • Enjoy it for what it is—a trick—and don’t get possessive.
    • Have a grasp on reality. The issues why you broke up are still there, so chances are you won't fall madly in love again. Just go with the flow and don't set expectations.
    • Establish rules between the two of you so that you can enjoy the good stuff and not get wrapped up in the baggage of your old relationship.
    • Decide with your ex how you’ll answer someone who sees you two together and thinks you’re dating again. As Ruben says, "Queens gossip, and someone will find out. So you both need to agree about how you'll handle the rumors once people start talking."
Remember that this is just sex, and sex is a good thing. So if you can have sex with your ex, either in your imagination or in real life, then you do it in a healthy way and enjoy yourself.

¡HAPPY SPRING TIME!

A sense of warmth is tapping at the door;
And hope, a feeling out from distant lore
– Or so it seems – clears the deep refrain!

Emerging youth: a dormant lea awakes.
The raging colour, singing loud, partakes
In annual birth – spring is born again!

A zest anew for nascent life
Begins in floral train:
Carriage one: a snowdropp thrill;
Carriage two: the crocus;
Number three, a daffodil – dancing,
Drawing focus – as she would,
Attention seeker!

How I love our spring:
The bold and sleeker feel I get,
An inner glow, a ring!
I’ve paid the winter’s chilly debt, so
Now upon the wing!

REVIEW OF RED RIDING HOOD

When I saw the trailer for Red Riding Hood, I must reluctantly admit that I was somewhat excited to see this very different and seemingly interesting take on the very famous, classic and beloved fairy tale. Yes reluctantly, since it was evident that it was built around the quintessential storyline of dull/boring boy wants girl, girl doesn't want boy ,girl's family has arranged marriage to boy, girls wants the more interesting and exciting boy. Given all that, I felt redeemed with Amanda Seyfried in the starring role and the idea of who done it. Seyfried has emerged as one of the better actresses of her generation and I have admired her body of work especially in the HBO polygamist hit, Big Love. All the excitement and eagerness could not compensate for a very flat storyline, lifeless and robotic performances from the two leading men who is caught between. Seyfried's performance is also flat and rather subdued in what appears to be a very twilight-esque,( which isn't a surprise as Catherine Hardwicke of Twilight fame also directs this project), take on this classic story.

Valerie (Seyfried) is a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider, Peter (Fernandez), but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Irons). Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon (Oldman), to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1486185/)

What's Good about the movie:

Hmmmm, this took some serious thinking and pondering but there isn't really much that emerges that can be viewed in a positive light from this film. The cinematography was commendable with stunning views of snow capped mountains and the sunlight glistening through the forests. It is a very sad commentary on a film when the Cinematography is one of the few things that is worth mentioning.

Gary Oldam delivers delivers a fairly good performance (though over the top at times) as Father Solomon ,famed werewolf hunter summoned to Daggerhorn to kill the beast. However not even an actor of Oldman's calibre could deliver a performance strong enough to salvage this movie.

What's Bad about the movie:

Hmmmm where to even begin?
The performances of the two male suitors who are vying for Valerie's affection Max Iron as Henry and Shiloh Fernandez as Peter was abysmal to say the least. It was very painful getting through the scenes where these two appeared not only were their performances lifeless and robotic, it felt as if they were merely reciting their lines-they were simply not connected to the characters they played.

The lack of connectivity throughout the whole film between the actors was very glaring, as each seemed to be reciting his or her own lines and there was no sense of true cohesion in the exchanges between the cast.
The ''who done it/who is it'' premise of the film was not properly developed and when it was time for the big reveal it was very anti-climatic and the supposed big reveal left us feeling a bit eerie and weird.

Overall Grade: D, If you haven't seen this movie yet, no need to rush. You might as well wait for its cable release.

18 CHARGED IN RAPE OF LITTLE 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL

At least 18 men and boys between the ages of 14 and 27 are charged with the brutal rape of an 11-year-old girl in an abandon mobile home in Cleveland, Texas. This all came to light when some of these savage animals actually were passing around videos of it at school and bragging about the incident.

Already 4 students have been arrested from the school district and charged with aggravated sexual assault with a minor under the age of 14. Two of those arrested are players on Cleveland’s state-ranked basketball team.

The victim has withdrawn from school and has been placed into protective custody for her own safety. Due to the large number of suspects, 18 in all so far, officials are warning the family that they should move because the family might be in danger. It’s even been reported that the family is already getting harassing phone calls.

This story turns my stomach on so many levels. How could so many humans take part in the rape of a little girl? The simple answer is that this group of people is not human at all, but is representative of the decline of man. Instead of evolving, we are actually moving backwards down the evolutionary ladder. And to make matters worse, the parents of the accused called the girl’s parents and harass them for him being arrested. Have we any humanity left?

SAY "I DO" MR. PRESIDENT

Dear Mr. President:
In February, you made a powerful statement about the law.
Invoking guarantees enshrined in the Constitution, you and the Attorney General determined that federal discrimination against gay and lesbian couples in marriage is unconstitutional. Thank you for taking a principled stance and an important step toward equal protection under the law for all Americans.
Today we ask you to take the next step and join the majority of Americans who support allowing loving and committed gay and lesbian couples to legally marry.
Mr. President, marriage matters. In law, in love, in life, marriage says "we are family" in a way that nothing else does. Marriage is the coming together of two lives, marked by a public promise of love and responsibility in front of friends and family. And marriage brings not only public respect and personal significance, but also a safety net of legal protections, rights, and responsibilities for which there is no substitute.
Like so many Americans, you have spoken of your personal journey toward support for the freedom to marry. You have talked about the gay and lesbian people in your life, their commitment to each other and care for their kids, and their families that aren't so different from any other family.
We ask you now for your leadership on ending the exclusion of same-sex couples from marriage, an exclusion that harms millions of Americans each day. Whether to end discrimination in marriage is a question America has faced before, and faces again today. With so many Americans talking it through in heartfelt conversations, it is a question that calls for clarity from the President.
You can offer hope to millions of young gay and lesbian Americans who are facing discrimination. You can tell them that their future is bright, that they, too, will be able to grow up and marry the person that they love, that the pursuit of happiness truly belongs to all of us. You can put government on the side of those seeking to care for their loved ones, instead of those standing in their way. You can affirm that for all of us, gay or non-gay, love is love and commitment counts— and that we Americans should treat others as we all want to be treated.
Mr. President, the time to end exclusion from marriage is now. We ask you to complete your journey and join us and the majority of Americans who support the freedom to marry.
Sincerely...

¡HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
