¿HOW GREEN ARE YOU?

In some ways, the earth is like a well-meaning mom, providing healthy and important stuff like air, water, and living things. And in return we are often not as grateful as we could be. But Earth Day is our chance to show our appreciation for the planet, so how about we NOT only acknowledge OUR mother (EARTH) on this day & CELEBRATE EARTH DAY EVERYDAY?

  1. Once we become familiar with something, somewhere along the line we forget its importance and take it for granted. And that goes for mother earth too. It's something we need to remember always, that if we take care of our planet, it will also be able to take care of us.

  3. I try and do my part, I have stopped using paperbags, plastic bags and instead purchase the new green and friendly tote, yes I trout to the market with bags in hand, actually they hold up well.

I recycle by placing anything that can be used again into the proper containers for recycling. I buy some green products although I am still in the transitional phases of Green.

I conserve when and where I can.

  5. I agree we should honor the earth everyday.

I try to use less paper @ work - avoid faxing prefer scanning and e-mailing or just e-mailing a file

Reduced use of paper and plastic bags

Not use the unessential lighting - fluorescent light-bulbs

I live less than ten minutes from work so that saves on fuel

But there is so much more that I can do

Oh yes the green cleaning products by Clorox are nice as well

  9. Why don't we get President Obama to prove how much he cares by asking him to sign the Kyoto agreement...?

  10. Sanya: They (including the US) are working on the successor of the Kyoto protocol which expires in 2012. Last I heard this new agreement is supposed to be ratified in December 2009. So yes, the US will be a part of it.
