¡We can no longer be a bunch of empty minds living in critical times refusing to recognize real lies!

TRADITION IS THE PROBLEM, NOT RELIGION

So I’ve come to the realization that GAY folks are THE most scrutinized group of people who comes to religion involuntarily. As prisoners of our sexuality, were captured OR kidnapped through psychological mean, made into slaves whose ONLY salvation is to conform to the TRADITION of religion. But does this have to be the case? Do we need to STRUGGLE with OUR sexuality when it comes to religion? I SAY HELL NO! I find it AMAZING how we are taught that if we can survive the horrors of NOT being ourselves, that we will be REWARDED with acceptance N’ love. Persons that use a multitude of devices AND strategies, from physical violence, fear AND verbal humiliation, pass on their message of hate AND destruction. So I am of the opinion that in order for us to rescue ourselves from the TRADITIONAL dependency when it comes to religion, we need to continue to turn upside down the process and simply be who GOD created us to be. For it is ONLY when we come to know who are sexually that we were the DEHUMANIZATION and I don’t think that makes a whole lot of sense. TRADITION BRUTALLY TERRORIZE us and forces us to accept OUR blasphemous status first, followed by our second class citizenship rank. So if we are to get back home, we will have to travel a well-defined path leading to a number of critical junctions. These junctions are important milestones that signal that we are indeed making progress and headed in the right direction. Reaching our destination of liberation requires travel in reverse order starting from our present-day status which is the thing GOD HATES into the beautiful human beings that we are. It is when we EMANCIPATE ourselves from all forms of TRADITIONAL slavery, center ourselves that we come up against the TRADITIONAL belief systems AND world views that are empowered by men AND women who refuse to see how beautiful the world really is and I am of the opinion that this TRANSFORMATION is a COSMIC one. This DIVINE mission AND SUPREME challenge that we face will ALWAYS exist because the TRADITIONS of a people keep us chain N’ bound. THIS UNDOUBTEDLY IS THE GREATEST TASK OF OUR LIVES & IT ‘LL TAKE AN UNPRECEDENTED CLARITY, COURAGE & COMMITMENT ON OUR PART. SO MANY OF US ARE STUCK PERMANENTLY WITH NO WAY OF ESCAPING THE DECEPTION OF TRADITION THAT SEEKS TO DESTROY US. NONETHELESS, WE CANNOT LET THE OLD VIEWS OF THE WORLD STOP US FROM PROGRESSING & EVOLVING. I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE SWEET WATER IS @ THE BEGINNING OF THE STREAM & I AM OF THE OPINION THAT ONLY THE BOLDEST, THE BEST & THE BRAVE DARED TO REACH FOR IT’S SWEET TASTE…FREEDOM IS @ HAND & IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET IT, TRADITION OR NOT…

  2. It's like I hear everything that you say and I take it all to heart, but it's really hard to live this when your minister grandmother is always convincing you that anything other than what she states is Satan's influence and that I am making a choice to live this way. We fall out over this subject all of the time because she thinks that with the snap of my fingers that I can just become everything that she idealizes in a man. That's the reason why we NEVER get along.

I don't believe that God creates mistakes. I don't believe that God made us specifically for the purpose of sending us to hell. So why do preachers and teachers make us feel as though we are the lowest "sinners" on Earth? We don't harm anyone and many of US have divine morals and standards too...

But anyway... great post. It just gets hard to have to deal with a die-hard conformist society. I sure wish I could move back to Atlanta sooner.

  3. Xivinrah - I TOTALLY agree with you when you say that God does NOT make mistakes. So many of us live our lives with this X across our faces as if there is a dark spot on our souls...Just as your Grandmother is praying for you, I hope you are doing the same for her...we need to put an end to the negative feeling that exist towards GAY men and women

  4. Beautiful post ...
... however, I must say that while tradition can be problematic, just a quick glance at the news -- especially today with Mumbai massacre in headlines obliterating stories from Nigerian where even more people died in sectarian violence -- tells me that RELIGION is still the big kahuna when it comes to strife and causing people to kill each other.

All in the name of God. Funny, since all the great deities are supposed to be all about LOVE.

So I say, don't get all twisted about what other people feel about your life. If we were put here to serve a God who will just as soon burn us in Hell if we don't, then he is worthy of worship.

If you ask me, RELIGION is man's most evil invention.

  6. RELIGION IN ITS TRUEST SENSE IS ABOUT LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE AND NOT JUDGING. BUT SOMEHOW MAN HAS MADE IT OUT TO BE ABOUT HATRED,CONDEMNATION,JUDGEMENT,POWER AND CONTROL AND TO MARGINALIZE CERTAIN FACETS OF THE SOCIETY.
LET US NOT FORGET THAT RELIGION WAS USED TO DEFEND SLAVERY,POLYGAMY,WAR AMONG PROTESTANTS AND CATHOLICS AND JIHAD.
LET US KEEP ALL THIS IN MIND AS THE RELIGIOUS MASSES TRY TO CONDEMN US.
JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED AND REMEMBER GOD LOVES ALL OF US.
