WOMEN: JUS' TELL ME WHY...

WHEN WILL WOMEN STOP SEEING GAY MEN AS A WASTE? I hear it all the time DAMN HE IS CUTE AND FINE, PITY HE IS GAY. I sit and wonder are these women for real and do they live in the same world as I do? Well like it or not there are GAY MEN out there that are CUTE and FINE and they have no interest in PUSSY @ all. So like it or not ALL of US exist to please women and OUR SEXUALITY isn’t a haphazard accident either. It’s bad enough that we have to deal HOMOPHOBIA from HETEROSEXUAL MEN, but to get it from WOMEN is just plain crazy. SO TELL ME: why is it that we must all fit a mold when it comes to OUR SEXUALITY? This misguided notion causes further FEAR and CONFUSION within MEN in our society. Where do these WOMEN get these misguided thoughts and notions? IF GOD CREATED HOMOSEXUALITY AS A FORM OF SEXUAL ORIENTATION, does this mean that it stands to reason that this is indeed a legitimate action? After all GOD does not make mistakes, so homosexuality can’t be wrong. We are only the HUMAN BEING that GOD made us to be. Yes, I know that there are a whole lot of single women out there that would love to have a man but can’t seem to find one. Nonetheless WE are the ones that catch most of the blame because of OUR SEXUALITY. It’s it interesting how the world works? because I am GAY you blame me for the MAN you dating because he can’t seem to know how to act like a MAN? because I am GAY you blame me for the fact that most of you didn’t have a DADDY to teach you what LOVE is? because I am GAY you blame me because you don’t know how you should be treated by a man? I hope for the sake of our communities, our women, our children and our futures that this changes because this way of thinking does no one good. This OLD DESPERATE WOMAN BATTLE CRY is getting so old and it hurts that we are the ones that are blamed for their lack of companionship or healthy relationship. However, somewhere in all this disparity over GAY MEN, women continue to fight illusions (negative illusions might I add) over a non-issue, especially here in the Caribbean. So the next time a female comes across a male that she thinks HE is a waste of GOOD D!CK of simply another man down the drain, I would hope that she would stop and remember that not everyone is meant to be the same, not every man that is on this is there simple for her choosing. I find it so crazy that when MEN like myself live our lives honestly and not trying to hide behind some woman’s vagina they can’t seem to deal with it. Why place such a burden on a man? Why make him the center of your unhappiness? Why wish that someone isn’t who they are meant to be? They say that there are more women in the world than men but does that make it right that WE are hated because of this supposing shortage? I personally don't buy the eligible man shortage baloney. Maybe just maybe these women need to find out what LOVE is all about and why does HOMOSEXUALITY exist in the first place. I wonder if any of them ever think that a GAY man needs a certain kind of LOVE and that can only come from his own. But instead of opening their minds and hearts they see US as barriers. To that I say, BEING IGNORANT and HATEFUL is the only barrier and we are not the problem. Isn’t it funny how so many MEN hate themselves because they know within themselves that they don’t have a desire for a female? WE torture ourselves and try to convince ourselves that we might be able to do it; that we might be able to pull it off…ALL ALONG KNOWING THAT WE DON’T STAND A CHANCE! So the problem women encountered with men that are homosexually incline are just a reflection of how low they think of themselves and how unhappy they are in their current situation. Women need to understand that WE are all different and WE all serve various purposes and I know it hurts but it’s the way this world; we certainly didn’t make it and we can’t change it.

THE "X-BOX"

DO YOU THINK THAT IF IT'S MANDATED BY THE GOVERNMENT THAT PERSONS PARTICIPATE IN A SEXUALITY QUESTIONNAIRE AND THEY STRATEGICALLY PLACED A BOX PLACED IN EVERY CITY; ON EVERY CORNER OF THIS WORLD AND THEY GUARANTEED THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO IDENTIFY AN INDIVIDUALS SEXULITY, DO YOU THINK THAT THE RESULTS WOULD REVEAL THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF PERSONS THAT HAVE OR IS ACTIVE IN SAME-SEX-RELATIONS?

MEN: ¿ARE YOU OUT THERE?

I’ve met many men who ask me this question and I say to them that there are men out there; they just have to be patient and let that special one find them. Sadly so many can’t seem to get pass their self loathing and realize that true happiness lies within. Tell me, why do men waste time and energy seeking a relationship that just exists because they want to say that they have someone? In this instance one will get bored and eventually seek someone REAL outside this relationship. THERE ARE MEN OUT THERE, but you have to be ready for their arrival. You should try to be practical and focus on a FRIENSHIP first and foremost, then progress from there and build a RELATIONSHIP and after that comes PARTNERSHIP. With these key elements in place you can’t go wrong nor will you get second best. A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP is achievable when there is a solid commitment that is not based on sex. SEX is wonderful but if it’s done first, then you limit the chances of a SUCCESSFUL LTR. Sad to most men never seem to think with the right head when it comes to another brother. And that’s why it’s a lot of lonely men out here with a lot of love to give but afraid to trust another with their heart. Take the time to get to know each other. Love yourself first and look for a partner who can compliment you... Physical attraction is a good thing but relationships shouldn't be based on how handsome he is or how BIG his D!CK is. I wish that the sum total of what men are looking for in regards to being with another man could be summed up by seeking REAL LOVE. It would probably make living this life a little easier. There'd be no illusions that the giving of one's heart is truly genuine and there would be no hurt feelings because you have someone that REALLY wants something substantial. There will be no need for the superficiality that goes on in this community.

THE A. I. D. S. VACCINE:

Nearly 40 million people are living with HIV/AIDS worldwide. The vast majority reside in developing countries where medications to treat the virus are often either unavailable locally or unaffordable. An estimated 14,000 new cases of the disease occur every day. While a vaccine may be the best hope for conquering the epidemic, significant challenges remain ahead. Ever since HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, was identified more than 25 years ago, scientists have been trying to unlock its secrets. Their research has recently led the National Institutes of Health into large-scale vaccine trials worldwide. Gary Nabel is director of the Vaccine Research Center at NIH. He says the purpose of the so-called T-cell vaccines trials is to induce a cellular immune response that would both reduce levels of the virus and also preserve cells critical for protection against infection. He says within five years researchers will know whether or not the approach works. "If it does it will be important for us because it is an area that we can improve upon, and it's an area that we have lots of room to make progress." Nabel says another promising avenue for vaccine exploration has been to use antibodies that can fight or neutralize the HIV virus. "If we can make progress there then we really have some great opportunities ahead of us." Nabel says what makes an AIDS vaccine so problematic is the HIV virus itself, which is constantly mutating. "We're not really making a vaccine against a single virus, we are really making a vaccine that has to protect against millions of different viruses." Nabel says the virus also has an extraordinary ability to evade the human immune system, which is why developing broadly neutralizing antibodies to fight HIV has been so difficult. "And part of the reason for that is the protein on the surface of the virus that is the target of those antibodies not only differs in sequence among different viruses, but even on any given virus." Nabel says, "The virus is always lopping around and changing its shape on the surface making it a moving target." Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, says the trial vaccines won't provide blanket protection. But he notes that if they are successful, they will alter the disease by lowering the population of the virus and slowing its proliferation. "Ultimately this may and likely will have a positive effect in decreasing the efficiency whereby those infected people infect other people." Fauci says this approach combined with neutralizing antibodies that prevent infection could be the first big step towards an HIV vaccine. An estimated 20,000 volunteers are participating in trials in 24 countries. But science alone cannot conquer the AIDS epidemic. Advocates for a vaccine say it will also take financial support, political commitment, private-sector involvement, and greater attention to the economies and health care systems of developing countries.

¿GAY TIL PROVEN STRAIGHT?

TALK ABOUT THE GENETICS OF SEX AND GENDER IDENTITY…BUT WHO ARE WE REALLY? AND PLEASE TELL IF A SAME-SEX-PRONE INDIVIDUAL IS STRAIGHT UNTIL PROVEN GAY? OR ARE YOU GAY FROM BIRTH? SO DOES THIS MEAN THAT HETEROSEXUALITY IS A DEFAULT & HOMOSEXUALITY IS AN INNATE FEELING THAT ONE IS BORN WITH? I SAY YES! Homosexuality and homosexual behavior has existed for thousands and thousands of years, probably even before the times of homo-sapiens. However, up until a few years ago, the issue was discussed mostly by people in the social sciences. Psychologists, such as Freud, studied homosexuals extensively in hopes of coming up with an explanation for their "abnormal" behavior. All of the explanations that these people created linked homosexuality to experiences that homosexuals have while growing up. Generally speaking, people in the world of psychology believed that homosexuality could be explained by a person's environment. However, in the past four or five years, the subject of homosexuality has been creeping into the world of biology. Studies have been done recently that attempt to look at homosexuality in a scientific light in hopes of coming up with a genetic explanation for sexual preference. One of the first successful scientific studies that were done on homosexuality was reported on in 1993. The purpose of this study was to look at families in which there was an abnormally high occurrence of homosexuality. By extensively studying the family histories of these families, researchers hoped to find some clues pointing towards the genetic factors that affect homosexuality. That is exactly what happened. By looking at the family trees of gay males it seemed that the majority of homosexual occurrences were on the maternal side of the tree. From this information, researchers concluded that if in fact there was a "homosexual gene", it appeared to be passed down from mother to son. This means that heterosexual females are carriers of this gene, and when it is passed down to a male child, there is a chance that the child will be a homosexual. While this study did not come up with any hard core facts about the genetics of homosexuality, it showed that a connection very well could exist. Since this study did determine that the gene influencing homosexuality was carried by the mother, researchers participating in further studies knew that they could limit their search to the X chromosome, and that is exactly what they did. Perhaps this suggests that if genetics are responsible for homosexuality, we have a long way to go before we completely understand the gene loci that determine sexuality. However the information that is being discovered has been used by people in both positive and negative ways. On the one hand, there are members of the gay community who are very excited to find that the life-style they live is not entirely a choice that they made, as homophobic people often like to believe. Some homosexuals feel that if the world realizes that homosexuality is something people are born with, just like the color of your skin or your eyes, then people will begin to be more accepting of the homosexual life-style. However, on the other hand, there is also a group a people who believe that if homosexuality is in fact genetically linked, then there should be a way to genetically alter homosexuals in order to make them "normal". There is this overwhelming belief that God-ordained roles of men and women elicited the ire of one biologist who claimed that homosexuality is biologically and scientifically natural. But isn’t the concept of 'manliness' and 'womanliness' vague and shady notions that are largely created by the culture in which we live?" I am aware that science cannot explain everything. Science cannot explain purpose in life, and it cannot explain purpose in manhood or womanhood. The best proof the scientists give for such a diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities is that animals may behave like animals. That assumes, of course, that we, too, are mere animals. What if we have souls? The scientists will never prove that we do, so they must assume that we do not. When a man accepts the notion that he may be an animal instead of a man, or a woman instead of a man, he is emasculated. He surrenders his soul to gain the whole confusion. I will not bother myself to explain on scientific grounds what it means to be a man; for one thing, I am not a scientist, and for another thing, I doubt that I understand manliness beyond elementary grounds. After all, there are few standing untouched by the enervating fogs of our age, and I would not claim to be a lone man in an age without men. Manliness is a study. It is learned through initiation, through example, through the school of failure. If we are men in the end, it is because we have resisted the comfortable spa of apathy to take the bold personal effort to leave it and enter a battlefield.

@ WORLD'S END...

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT HAPPENS @ THE END OF IT ALL? I DO…And today I however woke up with that thought on my mind, I sat and wondered how can one cope? How does one go day to day with events and elements that stalk us? How can man make it till the end of day? HOW DO I MAKE IT TO WORLD’S END? It’s as if the angels are ignoring my cries and the demons taunt my soul. All I see is pain instead of light, only thinking when is the rescue going to come? I don’t believe that we are meant for this, however they say GOD doesn’t put anything on his creation that he/she can’t bear. The odd thing for is that things get worst by the day and there seems to be no end in sight. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME, WHEN WILL IT END? How can I be happy when life isn’t free? How can I live such an ignorant life knowing that people are starving and homeless? How do I just pretend that women aren’t being paid to be whores? How do I say to myself that it’s ok that most mothers are teenagers? How is this careless life humane? I live with people that envious; with not even an ounce of care in the world…WHAT AM I TO DO? I can do only what I can and that’s wish for this world to end…I SAY WE NEED A NEW START, maybe this time it’ll all be right and things will go according to the grand design. We will live as if we REALLY love each other. We will live as if live REALLY matters. We will live a REALLY righteous life…BUT ONLY @ WORLD’S END…

¿F&CK ME PLEASE?

Unquestionably, sex is an intricate and important part of life and I have come to the edge of all the light I know and am about to step into the darkness of the unknown… Sexual intercourse, at it best, is the physical expression between two persons, persons who themselves are inherently profoundly valuable moral beings who wish to express themselves by becoming physically unified permanently cementing two souls. This profound unification is one no one can explain or comprehend. Hence I take pride in my role in the expression of this physical activity and handle it with care and attention. I try to make sure that I give SEX the respect it deserves. However there persons out there that don’t do the same and I’ve met one of them. Funny how I thought he knew what I was about, funny how I thought he grew…funny I thought he’d found his place. I had an opportunity to express myself with HIM physically and it started off good; there was a connection and things were flowing. However there was a hint of hesitation in KISSES, he didn’t want to go further but he continued; and the fact that when we were done with SEX he put on his clothes and ran like HELL totally took away from the connection that was there for BOTH of US! So imagine me when I encountered HIM again, he had gotten worst and it was WTF is going here? He told me that he wanted SEX and I ask what kind? Of course he tried to play that since we are both TOPS that he doesn’t know what will happen. So me being me I decided to take him up on his offer, after all who knows he might have evolved. WRONG, dead wrong in fact he’d gotten worst and I wasn’t having that @ all. Funny how I thought my path was smooth, my sea was still and not a cloud was in the sky. Then sure enough the way grew dark, the storm clouds quickly rolled; the waves began to rock my ship and my anchor would not hold. I fell apart and was left bare with nowhere to hide. @ that moment I wondered and wished why couldn’t we held each other, help each other to stand and guide each other through the dark and lonely night so we could see the first light of day when this darkness wanes. Alas the stream will cease to flow; the wind will cease to blow; the clouds will cease to fleet and once again my heart will cease to beat…TALK ABOUT HIS VANITY! THE SELFISH FUCK, I RATHER GREET DEATH @ MY DOOR THAN HAVE SEX WITH HIM IN SUCH DARKNESS…TALK ABOUT MISERY! Do you think he knows that I’ve found my BEND IN THE ROAD LONG AGO? Obviously he has nothing to give and I REFUSE TO ALLOW HIM TO GIVE THAT TO ME! The way he acts when it come SEX is mind-blowing and he reduces it to nothing but a mere physical activity with no REAL significance. It simply is the combination of our hair or the massaging of one’s shoulder. I find it so sad that he doesn’t value SEX or think it has REAL meaning. DAMN IT! SEX IS AN INTEGRAL ASPECT OF BONDING AND SHARING GOOD POSITIVE ENERGY. I guess when it’s all said and done he didn’t want a connection not even with himself. I CAN’T WAIT FOR HIM TO COME MY WAY AGAIN, I CAN’T WAIT FOR HIM TO… ¿F&CK ME PLEASE?

THE UN~EVOLVED

Is it possible to HEAL PAST SELVES AND EVOLVE INTO A CHANGED PERSON? I ask this question because I’ve come across persons that knew each previously and now they have no desire or feel that they want to be in contact with that person. It’s amazing when I find an individual that says, ‘OMG YOU KNOW SO AND SO?’ and this automatically places a weird feeling in the atmosphere and sucks all the positive energy out of the room. They say change is automatic and the only UN~CHANGEABLE entity in this universe is GOD. So I wonder why we place this on each other, why do we act as if a person can’t EVOLVE and tap into their very own GOD POTENTIAL. We humans contain a fascinating grouping of personalities. Despite this potential, many of us possess similar traits and are all the same in so many ways. Hence I am sure if one places himself in another’s shoes I think they will relate very easily to what character traits they are seen from that individual. Nonetheless, there are some people that choose not to relate, but I wonder if humans could trust in a universe that has a higher purpose for everything, so that on some level there can be a belief that an individual damned by society exist for a good reason. In this instance it may be easy to see and appreciate, but others still offer challenges. In the modern world there are individuals that seek to maintain their very own identity from those that can’t seem to assist in facilitating change in an attempt to become a better person. However these persons are hell bent on making sure individuals are pigeon hold and trapped as who they see them as. This can only harm and hurt us because when this happens we ignore the ties that bind and treat each other in ways that are not acceptable. And no matter what we do or say about another, we can’t ever sever the energetic ties that were ordained by GOD. Ever since the dawn of time man has been able to evolve and continue his dominance on this planet, so why can’t we allow others to evolve? Sometimes we forget how powerful our actions are, and we use them haphazardly or unconsciously, creating stifling energy that does none of us any good. Why not instead of saying something negative about someone from your past, present or future, why not see that as an opportunity to ask that LOVE, LIGHT and HEALING be sent to you and end this negative energy that exists? Why can’t I hear, ‘OH YOU KNOW SO AND SO, HE DID SOMETHINGS THAT WERE NOT PLEASANT TO ME AND OTHERS; BUT I’VE LEARNED THAT I SHOULDN’T DO THE THINGS HE DID AND I SHOULD TRY TO SEEK UNDERSTANDING INTO THIS KIND OF BEHAVIORAL ACTION.’ After all these individuals help us see where we have come from so that we may more clearly decide where we'd like to go. If we can learn to acceptance for people and who they are, then we go out into the world armed with a renewed sense of self and a clear understanding of who we are as HUMANS. So rather than denying our connections, we can choose to accept these individuals presence in our lives. Acceptance does not mean we have to like them; we simply acknowledge that we are connected to them and honor that connection for like it or not, there is a reason. When we can embrace all that they bring into our experience, we can look deeply and see the GOOD that is there. I know it’s hard to embrace these people that aren’t to our liking. But focusing on the things that you don’t like about others only means that you are trying to change the things you don’t like about yourself. After all we are ALL the same and we ALL have struggles; so why not make that effort in helping another EVOLVE? Sometimes what we really need is to encourage ourselves to look deeply into all things in our lives to see the inherent goodness at the heart of everything. At the core of this analysis is the practice of unconditional acceptance, which can be scary because we feel as if we are being asked not to change the things we don’t like. But when we think this way, we are still operating on the surface of our lives. In order to feel the beauty and warmth of full acceptance, we have to be willing to sink deeper into the layer underlying the external manifestation of our lives. This deeper place of being is the origin of all lasting change, yet its paradox is that when we are in it, we often don’t feel the need to change anything. From this place, we experience the pure beauty of the process of being alive, and we see that all things change in their own time. Thus fostering EVOLUTION in persons that WE don’t allow to EVOLVE.

¿DO WHORES SERVE A PURPOSE?

A WHORE IS SAID TO BE ANYONE WHO HAS MORE SEX THAN THE AVERAGE PERSON. Hence this term is used loosely to indicate someone who engages in sexual acts that are disapproving and is classified as sexual promiscuity by society @ large. Nonetheless, I am here begging the answer to a question that has been with for a long time and I wanted to know if there is truly an answer. ‘DO WHORES SERVE A PURPOSE?’ I think YES and I can’t seem to comprehend how or why others are so dismissive to persons that are classified as one. I know that there are times in our lives when we are treated very harshly and unfair; and what is so very typical of society is just attach a LABEL or TAG on something or someone simply because there is an OVERWHELMING need to satisfy ones consciousness. Instead of simply deeming someone a WHORE why not find exactly why this behavior exist. Like everything in this life there exist a chief reason; how about WE find out what it is? How about we find out why? Whores serve a purpose much like the SUN gives LIGHT to this planet. It’s been my personal experience and thought that NO ONE WANTS TO HAVE SEX JUST SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY CAN, I’ve come to realize that persons that conduct themselves in such a manner is desperately seeking that comfort from another soul. I feel that they are actively seeking the one thing that makes everyone on this planet feel whole; pure and simple they are seeking LOVE. The crazy thing is that no matter how hard they look for it, it always seems to elude them. I myself have faced pain and my normal response is to find someone or something that can offer comfort, so with US being HUMANS we tend to lean towards someone; especially if we’ve experienced some sort of pain and hurt due to LOVE. But in seeking this LOVE we allow ourselves to stay just for a moment; afraid of what might come our way. Then move on to the next person that seems to possess that which we seek. Sadly this EXPIRATION DATING has no chance of actually becoming anything of substance because this isn’t firmly rooted into anything substantial. And herein lies the problem there is a need for someone to step in @ that exact moment and offer some sort of comfort and get the healing process in place; instead they either turn their backs or further this persons place in the world of promiscuity. I myself seek to do different, I admit that it’s hard to help persons that don’t know that it’s there or care for it; but HUMANS are all basic and we ALL desire the same things in LIFE. I AM PROUD TO BE A PERSON THAT SHUNS LABELS AND THINGS THAT OTHERS USE TO DEFINE INDIVIDUALS. I can’t grasp the concept that we are not counted by society and I feel that this is one area that feeds this omission. It’s a double edge sword that begs for a solution either way it’s looked @. I am just tired of hearing society say, ‘GAY PEOPLE ARE COOL AND OK…IT’S JUST THAT THEY HAVE SEX WITH ONE ANOTHER ON A FREQUENT LEVEL.’ But in order for this stigma to go away persons on both sides of this dilemma has to come together and seek some sort of solution. So to everyone I say, ‘I think until we stop treating gay relationships like straight relationships we will continue to have the same results the dynamics might be alike but the solutions are not. I think we need major consoling on how to have a long lasting relationship because in truth most of don’t know how to with another man.’ I sometime wonder if persons with society realize that are a definite factor in OUR COMMUNITY. We are in a TENDER place and I think that the FRAGILE state of OUR RELATIONSHIPS causes more problems and harm everyone of US; however @ the same time I feel that it has to start with US, we have to show them that we are worth it, we believe in ourselves and we do want a NORMAL and HEALTHY LIFE. SO THE NEXT TIME YOU RUN ACROSS A ‘WHORE’ PLEASE SEE THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO HEAL OUR COMMUNITY AND THIS PERSON.

I am on a quest to find a conscious man

To find that one God has picked out for me,

The one who just takes my breath away.

Where things can be unsaid but understood.

I am looking for someone to stimulate my mind.

He is himself and not trying to be someone society portrays.

He could be ugly but has a beautiful heart,

He does not have to be a college graduate

But still has book sense,

Common sense as well as street sense.

And not be intimidated by my outspokenness,

And can handle it when I let him know he is slipping.

He will not question me and accuse me of not being faithful,

¿WHY THE HATE?

Talk about THE GAY ELITE and THROAT CUTTERS; as if LIFE isn’t hard to begin; now you have to deal with HATRED from our very own. But why, tell me why be excluded or not counted if you are EFFEMINATE, OVER WEIGHT or FACIAL CHALLENGED? Why is an effeminate man an updateable man? Why does he have to be someone or something just to fit some so call MASCULINE MAN’S idea of what a MAN should be? Why does he allow society to dictate what kind of MAN is a MAN? Why do MEN that are faced with the weight issue finding such a hard time finding some LOVE outside of JUNK FOOD? Why are they forced to buy LOVE, never really getting LOVE @ all? How come we get to say what TRUE BEAUTY is? How can we, how do we make another human being feel less than because they can’t in no way fit what we feel beauty is? CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY DO GAY MEN HATE ON EACH OTHER? I’ve come to realize that no matter what side of the fence you are on, if these outcasts change who or what they represent; will that make US feel better about how we feel about them? Will this make the world better and continue it’s spinning in space? HELL NO! These negative messages affect the self-esteem and further divide OUR COMMUNITY. No matter how it’s sliced and diced, the stigmas placed on individuals doesn’t stop or prevent those that see the REAL person from meeting and showing them some REAL LOVE. As long as they can boost with confidence and pride in self; no one can take that away from them. So please STOP making the OVERWEIGHT MEN feel less than. STOP making the EFFEMINATE MEN feel less than. STOP making the UNATTRACTIVE MEN feel less than. These MEN cannot and will not go inside themselves just to make you feel good about who they are. A. I. D. S. (DOESN'T EXIST)

More than 42-million people worldwide are living with HIV or AIDS. Two-million new cases are reported each year. However, contrary to popular belief, HIV is doesn’t exist in the Bahamas and countless of YOUNG BOYS are becoming infected daily. To understand why this is so, it is first necessary to understand why these BOYS are placed in harms way. We live in the part of the world that can’t and won’t accept the fact that WE are a legitimate group of persons that possess real feelings and we won’t stand for anything less than RESPECT. So can you imagine a young boy growing up with his family and he is totally himself as far displaying what society deems as ‘girlish actions’ and his mother sees this and just thinks its how her son is and he will outgrow it. But much to her dismay he doesn’t and this is the REAL DEAL and he is the THING that society says no MAN should ever be, the THING that is worst than anything that exist on this planet…the THING that shows how much a MOTHER can show how she can’t LOVE her SON. My question is how can’t a mother see how she is throwing away her seed? How can she not see that she is placing her SON is harms way? How can’t she not see that she is just as responsible for her SON getting H. I. V.? I feel she is just as guilty for her SON contracting H. I. V. and forcing him to become some MAN’s prey.

But oddly enough, given all we know about HIV and other STD's, I can’t believe that in the year 2007 we have persons that are being infected with any sexual transmitted diseases. The thing that gets me most is that a lot of YOUNG MEN are caught up in this whirl-wind and can’t save themselves from themselves. They are seeking LOVE and getting H. I. V. instead by having SEX with MEN whom they are dating or living with and in situations like this LOVE is the only protection they are seeking. They are being deceived but they take that chance anyways because LOVE is LOVE and no matter how it gets to you, the important thing is that it’s being received. But this turns out to be something totally unfair and life threatening because having unprotected sex is such a deadly game. It is the unsafe and irresponsible practices of MEN that prey on innocent BOYS that further the spread of this disease. They know because maybe they were victims of the same game and instead of ending it; they continue with it.

In the Caribbean countries, our plight of H. I. V. and A. I. D. S. cases are down played and not take as serious as it should. We are on the brink of an EPIDEMIC and pretty soon too many of US will come in contact with H. I. V. And I feel that more than half of the world’s population will be in peril. So as long as our YOUNG MEN live as if they are invincible and untouchable, we will have this disease being passed on knowingly or unknowingly without any help or prevention methods in place. Which makes think how can persons not take personal responsibility for their sexual activity? Why does it seem as if wearing a condom is such a task or difficulty? Safe sex begins with the desire to protect YOURSELF -- that's the message that needs to be passed on. Everyone should protect himself/herself. That is true, but herein lies the problem. If an individual is in a COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP, why is there a need for protection? They, in their minds are having the safest sex-monogamy; or so they think. Unbeknownst to him that a deadly virus is being passed on. He is being put at risk by his partner.

The fact that UNPROTECTED sex is the root of the problem leads to all sorts of assumptions. We would think that most OLDER MEN pass on the disease because they lack a heart and don’t give a damn. We would assume that a YOUNG MAN doesn’t care about his LIFE because it’s left in the palm of the hands of someone they trust. However I admit that not all MEN engage in unsafe and irresponsible sex practices. However, what I'm saying is that a YOUNG GAY MAN by the very nature of the relationship trusts his partner. There's never an expectation that they should use condoms and that is personal and private bedroom activities. It is so ironic that the world believes that HOMOSEXUAL LIFESTYLE lacks honor, integrity and courage and we prove them right by supporting this disease everyday of lives when we engage in UNPROTECTED SEX. This is slowly but surely killing our community and keeping our minds off what is really important. Let figure a way to stop the spread of HIV in our community and individuals who knowingly risk transmitting HIV/AIDS to anyone ought to be charged with attempted homicide, wreck less endangerment or at least aggravated assault and be liable in the criminal court system. But for now we must keep in the back of minds that when dealing with a man sexually, there are certain precautions that need to adhere to. Stop trusting so blindly, if a man is going to tip outside of the relationship, he should be responsible enough to protect his relationship.

SEX-POSITIVE is having a healthy attitude about sex and this attitude embraces the social and spiritual elements of sex; never making a moral distinction between heterosexual or homosexuals. This term is never used by individuals to justify their lifestyles or sexual behaviour. Rather being SEX-POSITIVE shows that WE as a SOCIETY knows that sexuality is fluid and doesn’t think that one gender has the rights to another. This movement is a loosely defined term that applies to a wide variety of elements that comes along with sex and embraces social and philosophical attitudes promoting open sexuality with few limits. Hence I am not promoting SEX with children or elderly persons, I am all for SEX that is used in its proper setting and is fully used to bring pleasure. I am very much aware that INCEST, RAPE & BEASTIALITY exist and are considered by a few to be a form of pleasure and comfort, but how much pleasure does it give if it’s just one-sided? Being SEX-POSITIVE means that there is a respect for each of our unique sexual profiles, hence going to the extremes take things too far. I am very much aware that persons think or believe that SAME-SEX relations are perverted, but how can that be the case if they are both consenting adults and really care about each other? Nontheless, some advocates out there define or see my logic as immoral and perverted, but in contrast to their SEX-NEGATIVE attitude I say they are the reasons why we have the SEXUAL perversions within society. How can they know for a fact that children are being hurt SEXUALLY, how can they know that elderly persons are inflicted with this type of pain and turn a blind eye? But the minute a GAY ship comes to our shores they are down town protesting; why protest US and we are not hurting our society? Why not march for SEXUALLY ABUSED children? Why not take a stand for elderly? This negative dominant view of SEX in this Western culture is clouded by the ‘TRADITIONAL CHRISTIAN’ views of human sexaulaity. Hence in their minds we are seen as the destructive force in the sexual movement and us seeking SEXUAL pleasure is SINFUL and WE are only redeemed by the SAVING GRACE OF PROCREATION! Oddly enough, WE have ways of getting around that sentiment and why only have SEX to create a child anyways? Sex is an activity that GOD has placed here for US to get PHYSICALLY close to another so why put restrictions and limitations on it? Why make it something bad because you can’t or don’t want to share my SEXUALITY? No matter because we are the EMERGING CHORUS OF VOICES that has provided an important contribution to the movement, giving substance to the SEX-POSITIVE movement. This EROTOPHOBIA is crazy and this fear causes more problems and it’s those problems that are not being looked at. This fear for far too long has played a powerful role in SHAPING and INSTITUTIONALIZED SEX-NEGATIVE vision of what it means to be who WE are meant to be. SEXUALITY IS WILD, HOT, SAVAGE, BEASTLIKE, PRIMAL; in short, SEXUALITY is the embodiment of all that the socity sees as evil and doesn’t need to be controlled or eradicated.

¿CLA CURACIÓN HOMOSEXUAL?

My question suggests homosexuality is a sickness and not for a moment do I believe this. The thought of a cure suggests that WE don’t LOVE who we are and what we represent even though there are self loathing persons that would love the idea of cure to ease their mental state. And I wonder if a pill or cure makes it that easy not be what GOD intended are WE really living or just co-existing? I’ve never been one for the easy road and life is all about character building. I feel that we add balance to the world; we soften the tough male persona and ease the feminine tension with women. This is just my thought, but do think that if there was some sort of cure or a pill to make US UNGAY, it would work?

¿CAN IT BE LUV...EVER?

I ask myself this because in this community I’ve come across persons that date OR convert HETEROSEXUAL MEN & WOMEN. Now I sit and ponder how or why do these relationships come to be and are they realistic? Do they have a chance to become forever after? I know that we know what we want SEXUALLY (even when we pretend that we don’t) and I know that we gay men and women seem to be the litmus for SEXUALITY; and the world sees us as catalysts that can bring that their hidden sexually selves to surface. So can a hetero man or woman really be bent? Can seemingly polar opposites make a relationship work? I think YES, but they have to make sure they have the one thing the rest of the world denies us…LOVE. They have to go deep within and find the resolve to build a life that needs no one’s approval. They have to live with a renew hope that LOVE has no eyes; and LOVE means your heart sees the person and not the gender. In this instance SEXUALITY is fluid and can takes it true form. This means that LOVE is LOVE no matter who, what, where and why; it just is and it’s one of the few things on this earth that we as humans have no control over. I know for a fact love deals with you how you deal with it and our hearts are the key to eternal happiness. So why do we allow the SEX of person deter or transform what love exist? I get that it is scary for a HETERO to ask, does this mean I was always same-sex-prone? And if so, how can I live comfortably with another same-sex-prone individual? Can someone tell how or why does the trapping of society make it so hard for persons to be with whom their same-sex-prone hearts so desires? We all know that there is an immediate connection when the energies of two persons recognize each other and they know they are meant to be. This LOVE is SO powerful, yet the world keep getting in the way…This type of connection makes me believe that souls do pass from one lifetime to another seeking out each other and gender doesn’t matter @ all. This LOVE can be magical if only they can allow their minds, bodies N’ souls to become one…¿DO YOU THINK A LOVE BETWEEN A HOMOSEXUAL & A HETEROSEXUAL HAVE A CHANCE OF BECOME SOMETHING REAL?

HUMAN PAPILLOMA VIRUS (HPV)

HPV is spread by skin to skin contact, especially during vaginal, anal, or oral intercourse. It is thought that the virus enters the body through tiny breaks in the skin, which could be caused by the friction of sex or even by using tampons incorrectly. Once it is in the skin, the virus makes its way into the lower layers of skin. It can stay there for months or years, and may never come back up to the surface at all. For this reason, it is important to understand that if you are diagnosed with HPV, you could have gotten it at any time in your past sexual life. HPV refers to a group of more than 60 viruses. They are responsible for warts anywhere on the body, but only certain types are sexually transmitted. These are called condylomata acuminatum, better known as genital warts or venereal warts. Like other warts, they can not be cured but they can be treated. Now scientists are concluding that HPV can passed on through ORAL SEX and can cause some throat cancers. HPV infection was found to be a much stronger risk factor than tobacco or alcohol use, the Johns Hopkins University study of 300 people found. The New England Journal of Medicine study said the risk was almost nine times higher for people who reported oral sex with more than six partners. But experts said a larger study was needed to confirm the findings. HPV infection is the cause of the majority of cervical cancers, and 80% of sexually active women can expect to have an HPV infection at some point in their lives. The John Hopkins study took blood and saliva from 100 men and women newly diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer which affects the throat, tonsils and back of the tongue. They also asked questions about sex practices and other risk factors for the disease, such as family history. Those who had evidence of prior oral HPV infection had a 32-fold increased risk of throat cancer. HPV16 - one of the most common cancer-causing strains of the virus - was present in the tumours of 72% of cancer patients in the study. However there are no added risks for people infected with HPV who also smoked and drank alcohol, suggesting the virus itself is driving the risk of the cancer. Oral sex was said to be the main mode of transmission of HPV but the researchers said mouth-to-mouth transmission, for example through kissing, could not be ruled out. Most HPV infections clear with little or no symptoms but a small percentage of people who acquired high-risk strains may develop a cancer, the researchers added. Study author Dr Gypsyamber D'Souza said: "It is important for health care providers to know that people without the traditional risk factors of tobacco and alcohol use can nevertheless be at risk of oropharyngeal cancer." Co-researcher Dr Maura Gillison said previous research by the team had suggested there was a strong link. But she added: "People should be reassured that oropharyngeal cancer is relatively uncommon and the overwhelming majority of people with an oral HPV infection probably will not get throat cancer." A vaccine which protects against cervical cancer caused by HPV strains 6, 11, 16 and 18, and also against genital warts is available and the researchers said the study provided a rationale for vaccinating both girls and boys. But whether the vaccine would protect against oral HPV infection is not yet known. Dr Julie Sharp, science information officer at Cancer Research UK, said: "There is conflicting evidence about the role of HPV, and this rare type of mouth cancer.”As this was a small study, further research is needed to confirm these observations". "We know that after age, the main causes of mouth cancer are smoking or chewing tobacco or betel nut, and drinking too much alcohol. HPV is coming close to being considered an epidemic, with a 1,000 percent increase in the number of HPV patients since 1987. Since it is a nonreportable disease, accurate figures aren't available, but it is believed that millions currently live with this virus.

OUCH! THAT HURTS: PROFESSIONAL EDITION

Do you remember that old expression that goes, “HOLD YOUR HEAD UP, HOLD YOUR HEAD UP, and HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH?” Well this is what I’ve telling myself in order to go on, to do what I do; suppose to do. It’s like I can feel what my ancestors went through back in the day; work hard and master might reward you for it…TALK ABOUT EQUALITY or LACK THERE OF. It seems that when you are 3-5 times better you are compensated less and in this world, the cost of living goes up and things get tougher and tougher. And all I am told by my peers, my managers are things that are mind blowing and it makes feel as if I am crazy or stuck in some weird universe where the joke is on me. How can a company that makes millions of dollars in profit feel justified in paying their staff a 3% raise? How does that make the world spin on its axis? I guess that means you are paid for what is expected of you…Everything seems so convenient and we are fools just perpetrating the system; playing along like silly puppets on strings. How do they have an appraisal system that has a ‘C’ grade as 100% and offer pennies for compensation? But the crazy thing is that I am not upset for what was done to me, I am upset for ALL of us that have to deal with SHIT like this. Shouldn’t I be? They live off the FAT of the LAND and we get the scraps or hope that we get it. I know that in order for me to rise above, I have to create my opportunity. For I know that when I force certain vibrations within the universe the effect is felt; it may not be right there and then, however I do know that it’ll be sooner than THEY think. SO UNTIL THEN I WILL DO MY ‘JOB’ AND GIVE 3% MORE OF MYSELF AND STICK IT OUT UNTIL…

HATE CRIME'S #1 VICTIMS!

HATE CRIMES (also known as BIAS CRIMES) are crimes motivated by bias against an identifiable social group, usually groups defined by race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender identity or political affiliation. While this action is shown to all the groups mentioned; I feel that HOMOSEXUALS are PUBLIC ENEMY # 1 and are given the full force of this negative energy. We are seen as the lowest of the lows and being a MURDERER or THIEF is much better than being GAY! The crazy thing is that if a gay person comes along and says, "hey, look at me, I'm a productive, contributing member of society with values and ideals that make me little different than you," we are automatically a threat to someone who has believed all his life what he may have been told since he was young; that we gay people are perverted people who should live short and desperate lives. Hence this fear leads to a subconscious reaction: hate and/or kill the queer. Irrational, isn't it? So why go to this place? Why let what a group of persons make you live a life of ignorance and fear? Do you fear that you may actually be homosexual yourself? Is that it? But it’s all so very simple; if we are left alone and tolerated this world would be easier to live in. But TOLERANCE isn’t something that we can get and ACCEPTANCE is definitely out the window! However, it has crossed my mind that simply 'TOLERATING' us because of our sexual orientation is inhumane. So imagine how I feel about US being ACCEPTED? My belief is not that everyone has to accept homosexuality. My belief is that homosexuality should not be a determining factor in how well we are treated by persons that fear us. My belief is that all of us should be accepted, regardless of sexual orientation. When this world has persons in it that can take the life of a MATTHEW SHEPARD in the palm of their hands and out his flame, how can people in all honesty live with themselves? But sadly CRIMES against us are not always taken seriously, because law-enforcement officers, like some members of society, are often unsympathetic and downright hostile. It’s sad that WE have to deal with hysteria before there is understanding and acceptance. People would prefer not to deal with US at all and bury their heads in the sand to avoid seeing OUR reality. If one really thinks about it the real issue is power – who has it and who does. Our society has developed mainly around the needs of men, in whom most of the power has been vested and one way to express that power is the conquest of homosexuals. And as they say power corrupts; especially when they are so blissfully ignorant. Why do these power-hungry men refuse to face their own reflection in the mirror, a reflection that shows anything but a man? We raise the mirror of truth everyday and we will not stop! We will use your ignorance to fight intolerance and injustice. We are diminished by discrimination when the value of our very existence is questioned and our integrity as human beings is further compromised. So continue to hate on us because you are unable to LOVE. The only thing HATE CRIMES does is make the world seem more manageable by reducing many of the complexities of life to simple concepts: HOMOSEXUALITY IS WRONG AND MUST BE EXTINQUISHED! Doesn’t that make sense? How can you honestly say that you think that I am not worthy and deserve to die? I guess I don’t deserve live; after all I am a HOMOSEXUAL and homosexuality is a shameful lifestyle that destroys all it touches. THEREFORE YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO KILL OR HARM ME!

HOMOPHOBIA: THE REAL DEAL

If you look up "HOMOPHOBIA" in the dictionary, it will probably tell you that it is the fear of homosexuals. While I take issue with this definition, it is nevertheless true that in many ways, it really is a fear of homosexuality or at least homosexuals. But if one analyzes what a phobia is one would see that it doesn’t correlate with the meaning of homophobia. Phobia refers to a mental illness related to fear. Therefore, so-called homophobia should refer to a mental illness related to the fear of homosexuals or homosexuality. It is hard to imagine people being scared of homosexuals. Fear need not follow from hatred or vice versa. For instance, one could fear riding a motorcycle, but one need not hate motorcycles because one is scared of riding one. If homophobia was treated as a phobia countless of MEN and WOMEN that are SAME-SEX-PRONE would be living lives that were peaceful and humane. But society does the opposite of what the word HOMOPHOBIA truly stands for, they confront and try to destroy that which they fear. Homophobia is widespread in on this planet; especially in the Caribbean Nations with Jamaica being the ‘FRONT RUNNER’ in this game of hatred. This hatred touches the lives of many, not just in Jamaica but all over the world. There are countless persons world-wide that commit suicide yearly because of being a direct victim of how homosexuals are treated by society. When one lives with rejection day after day, and society discounts one's value constantly, it is difficult to maintain perspective and realize that the problem is OTHER’S perceptions, not one's own. When you live your life thinking of believing that the SEXUAL side of yourself is unnatural; how then do you cope? Homosexuality is found in all cultures and cultural norms seem to have little influence on the incidence of homosexual behavior. So the claim that it isn't natural becomes rather difficult to support. There are many things that go on in society that we would consider disgusting, but we don't outlaw them just because of that. So it’s US VS. THEM! And as difficult as it seems to admit society has a stronger reaction to the male-to-male relationships thatn they do to the female-to-female relationships. as meaning that the homophobic person feels threatened by the perceived notion of the ‘SEXUAL ROLES’ in male-to-male sexual activity. Male heterosexuality is defined not only by the desire for women but also, and more importantly, by the denial of desire for men. Therefore, expressions of homophobia serve as a means of limiting those who they view as displaced in the realm of sexuality. It’s not clear why male heterosexuals would need or even fear homosexuals in order to affirm maleness…unless their sexuality was already experienced as threatened by some other cause. This brings about the instinctual fear of infection that they feel will happen if they are not shunning the fear that exists within them. It all has to do with the fear of losing control, dominance and status. Well, straight men, you can relax. The vast majority of gay men don't want you. We F&CK for the same reason you do - as a part of the expression of love, caring, concern and commitment. Since we're not likely to get it from you, you're not attractive to us and you have nothing to fear from us. There are however a small minority of gay men who actually do enjoy seducing you. However such encounters are conducted in an atmosphere of equality of the shared emotional experience, and a recognition and respect for the straight man's need for discretion. But all in all ‘HOMOPHOBIA’ is negative cost on society and this cost is enormous. This cost doesn’t affect just the gay person, but his family, his acquaintances, his employers, and to society as a whole. This outright fear is a simple matter of sex and shows how society deals with SEX and SEXUALITY; causing a great deal of SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION.

"LA CARA DE LA HOMOSEXUALIDAD"

HOMOSEXUALITY is a ‘SEXUAL ORIENTATION’ and it is defined as ‘ROMANTIC’ attraction and/or ‘SEXUAL’ interaction between individuals of the same ‘SEX.’ So how does one tell who is a HOMOSEXUAL OR NOT? How can you look at an individual and decipher what he/she does sexually? Take a look at me, tell me what you see? Do you see a MAN or THE FACE OF HOMOSEXUALITY? 

When one thinks about SAME-GENDER-LOVING persons; they associate US with rainbows, flare and drama. But if one takes a look into the REAL face of homosexuality, one would find the essence of survivors, pioneers…MEN and WOMEN that are just like any other person on this planet; we are many and are as diverse as the world itself! Can someone tell me how society can’t see us all? 

We have butch, fem, fat, Skinny, and buff persons in this diverse community (for your information). Hence society needs to get out of the mind frame that HOMOSEXUALS are one in the same; meaning that there are no such persons. We have politicians, law enforcers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, preachers just to name a few. I am not the ‘NORM’ and neither is the next HOMOSEXUAL, we are all different and diverse like the rest of the world.
